Advancing Mentoring Practices Workshop

On behalf of the Graduate Programs in Bioscience at UCLA and the National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN) it is our pleasure to invite you to participate in a mentoring workshop to enhance your abilities to develop excellence in diverse trainees. 
During Day 1, you will learn evidence-based approaches to research mentoring from the Entering Mentoring curriculum, which is specifically designed for research mentors across career stages.
Day 1 agenda.
During Day 2 (optional), in this Train-the-Trainer session, you will gain the knowledge and facilitation skills needed to design and deliver mentor training at your program/institution.
Day 2 agenda.  
Eligibility
  1. Faculty, instructors, staff, or administrators who are directly mentoring trainees in biomedical/life science fields or working with mentors whose trainees are in those fields
  2. For Day 2, committed to implementing research mentor training workshops in your department, center, or college within the next year
Additional Workshop Information 

If accepted, participants are expected to:
  1. Join NRMN
  2. Register for the event to confirm workshop attendance
  3. Complete a post-workshop evaluation survey
 
Registration:
Enrollment for this workshop is limited to 50 participants. Priority will be given to requests from individuals who intend to implement research mentor training workshops at their institution and to UCLA faculty and staff from bioscience programs/departments. The workshop is supported by the Graduate Programs in Bioscience at UCLA. Breakfast and lunch will be provided during the workshop.
